Philosophy Now Festival 2015

The Philosophy Now Festival 2015 took place on 21 November. This page will remain available for reference.
The third Philosophy Now Festival will take place all day on 21 November 2015.
As in previous years, the Festival will include talks, debates, workshops, and philosophical games for the whole family. Entrance is free and open to all. There is no need to book for the Festival or for most of the individual events within it. However, you do need to book in order to attend one of the children’s philosophy workshops, as spaces are limited. For details, please see the full programme.
Festival Events
- Philosophy workshops for children and teenagers, run by the Philosophy Foundation
- The Great Balloon Debate, including your chance to vote on which historical philosopher should be thrown out of the balloon first!
- The 5th Annual Philosophy Now Award for Contributions in the Fight Against Stupidity: award ceremony and lecture. The Award will be presented to Cressida Cowell.
- The George Ross Memorial Lecture: to be given by Professor David Papineau (King’s College London)

Venue
The Philosophy Now Festival will be held in Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4RL.
The nearest tube station is Holborn (Central and Piccadilly lines).
The doors will open at 10am.

Also in Conway Hall during the Festival there will be a family storytelling event. The Freedom Bird – A Family Storytelling Event, suitable for children aged 4-10, will be held in the Library of Conway Hall during the afternoon. Festival goers with children are welcome to attend.
