Poetry
Sour
by Emma Freudig
Should I ever meet Mr Arthur Schopenhauer,
(a man so incredibly dour),
I’d invite him to supper,
so he could come in, see my mother–
hands all a-flutter,
over the piano,
singing Hosanna.
And I’d tell him,
See?
Life’s not grim.
It’s really not so grim.
